Gen 20:14-15 “Then Abimelech took sheep, oxen, and male and female servants, and gave them to Abraham; and he restored Sarah his wife to him. 15 And Abimelech said, “See, my land is before you; dwell where it pleases you.”

In this whole chapter, we can see the spectacular hand of God and His intervention in day-to-day life of a child of God. He plans and moves with unthinkable accuracy, to fulfill His purpose. Here, He intervened in the life of Abimelech, to protect Abraham & Sarah, and His promise to them. His promise is that a son will be born to Abraham by Sarah (who is the freewoman and not a bondwoman like Hagar, Gal 4th chapter); and through that son Isaac, He purposed to establish His covenant. Now Abimelech came in unknowingly, to destroy that purpose of God.

Likewise, in our life many things happen in front of us that looks like the promise of God is going to be delayed or not going to be fulfilled; but God is working to fulfill His promise and His covenant. When there is a promise from God, He will move out all who is blocking or working against your blessings from your path and His promise will be fulfilled. He intervenes with that person or a situation that is blocking your blessing and that same person like Abimelech or a situation, will be turned to your favor to fulfill His promise. He will never lie but will be faithful to His word and to His promise. Claim the promise in prayer, the sea that is blocking will give way, and you will see the promise on the other side.
