And you shall put it before the veil that is before the ark of the Testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the Testimony, where I will meet with you. 7 “Aaron shall burn on it sweet incense every morning; when he tends the lamps, he shall burn incense on it. 8 And when Aaron lights the lamps at twilight, he shall burn incense on it, a perpetual incense before the LORD throughout your generations.
The Altar of Incense is situated where God met with Moses. The Altar is a place where the high priest will burn incense on it every morning and evening. This symbolizes our fellowship with God through prayer. Prayer is the tool, which enables us to meet with God and offer our desire, supplications and other topics that we want to discuss with Him; and in reply, He meets us there with His desire and advice for us. Paul says ‘Pray without ceasing’ in I The 5:17. The sweet aroma of our prayers will be always in God’s presence. We should not forget or lethargic to use this tool to fellowship with God. We may be tired of various earthly works that needs to be done because of our Job or other mandatory work related family. Even if we are physically exhausted, we should not forget to fellowship with God. The rewards of fellowshipping with God through prayer are abundant for both our spiritual and physical life.
