Gen 28:12 Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.
II Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
The unknown is called the realm of faith. There are many things happening beyond our understanding through prayer. When Jacob dreamed about a heavenly ladder, which connected the heavens and earth, and the angels were, going up and down indicates a heavenly realm. This unknown realm of faith takes places behind the perception of the naked eye or understanding. The mystery of God and the edification of one soul through wisdom are happening in the heavenly realms. These things can not be seen, but in faith we approach God in prayer.
Another part of the unknown is the heavenly warfare. Elisha’s servant, when his eyes were opened, he saw the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. Beyond our thinking and perception, a spiritual warfare is always on the move in our spiritual life. When we pray for deliverance or standing in the gap for someone, there is always a spiritual battle going on in the heavenly realms. Without the leading of the Holy Spirit, we should not engage in a battle. This unknown is the mystery of God and it will be revealed to us through prayer according to our battle. We pray in faith, we see in faith and we reap the benefit of it in this life and eternal. Amen
