2 Timothy 2:22 “Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”

A pure soul is the cleansed soul. The prayer that comes from a pure soul will be pure in itself. Purity is a process which happens from inside to outside, meaning the impurities of the heart are removed like how the impurities of gold are removed. Anybody who is cleansed by Word and Spirit is pure.

It is the responsibility of the priests to wash their feet and hands in the water and be cleansed before they approach the lampstand and altar of incense. Likewise, we have to cleanse with the blood of the Lamb to purify ourselves from any filth that surrounds our soul. Without purity, we can not see God through our fellowship. These impurities will stand in front of us and will hinder our prayers. Let us be cleansed from these fleshy and worldly impurities and approach God in prayer with purity.
