Zec 2:10 “Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst,” says the Lord.

John 14:22, 23

22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.

A man and his son went to a beach to spend their evening. Father went to the place where the waves are crashing and he called out to his son to join him in the waves of the sea. The son was hesitant and said, ‘I am not coming I will be in the sand’, even though he wanted to play in the water. The father assured that he will take care of him and said ‘I will be with you and hold your hand, do not be afraid, just join me in the waves.’ The son looked at the waves, he was afraid, and he said, ‘I know you will hold me and be with me, but I am still afraid.’

Many believers are like this. They simply do not want to enter in to the place where the Father is. Meaning, that they do not want to enter into His discipleship or want to follow Jesus Christ. They are happy staying outside as a believer. If this is the case, how can one understand the presence of God? They will know that Father will take care of them, but they are simply afraid and do not do what He commands them to do. It is because of unbelief, and it is still sticking inside of their heart even though they are believers of Jesus Christ. This is the reason that they go all the way to places to find the presence of God. They forget the One who is near, calling them, and wander off in a different place where He is not there. This is when devil catches them and gives them false assurance of the presence of God. They will be tingled in their body, entertained by the manifestations and dancing and will say, boy what a time I had with God’. However, in truth, God is actually calling them in their house to have a fellowship with him. Let us shed the unbelief, enter into His discipleship so that He could manifest Himself to us, have a good time with God in our closet, and then let us venture out to have a fellowship with the saints.
