Num 20 1-9 “… 7 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Take the rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water; thus you shall bring water for them out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and their animals.” So Moses took the rod from before the Lord as He commanded him.”

Dear brothers and sisters, God wants us to be open for a message of simple faith. The message is ‘The rock will yield its water under the authority of God

Israelites were camped in Kadesh and in that wilderness of Zin, there was no water found for the assembly of the Lord. The assembly contented with Moses and Aaron about the dryness that they face. Now when Moses and Aaron went to the Lord, He told them what to do. In His providence, God said ‘The rock will yield its water’.

Even in the wilderness, even in the driest condition, God wants Moses, Aaron and the assembly to see what is in the rock. In our life also, God calls us today to see what is inside the rock in our driest condition.  He wants us to see the way behind a closed door. When King Ahab and his men can not find Elijah, the ravens found him and fed him with the bread under the authority of God.  He wants us to see through the Spirit of God, what Jehovah Jireh has to offer us when the world can not see this wonderful providence.

The authority of God is the word of God and it is His promise, which is written in the bible. Do we claim it through the guidance of the Holy Spirit in faith to see what is inside of each mountain, closed door, sickness, every drought? Are we contending with the Lord when it is already at our disposal through the word of God?  Moses and Aaron fell before the Lord to overcome this contention of the assembly. Likewise, let us go humbly before Lord and ask for His guidance to open our eyes to see the water inside the rock.
