Gal 5: 19-21 “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

Eph 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[c] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Have you heard from somebody that if your heart is at peace on a certain matter then it is always godly decision? With the same context, if there is a conflict in your heart and create a sense of confusion within you, then it is from the devil. We should not always use this as a rule of thumb. There are different types of spiritual conflicts, but there are mainly two types of conflict for a child of God who does not want to live a compromised life. First is the conflict within and the next is the conflict from the heavenly realm.

Conflict within our own self: For example if you are going to get married and everything fell in place to get married with a particular person. Now there sprung up a conflict in your mind, is this, the right person that God wanted me to have? We have looked in the past days how we can have our spiritual mind to put into place when taking a decision. Even though we aligned our mind to the will of God by the spiritual man, according to Gal 5:17 “For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh;” there will be a conflict within us after we made up our mind. When we will have this serious conflict? We will face this, when the outcome of the matter, seriously influence our spiritual growth.

Conflict from the heavenly realm: This happens mostly when we are interceding for others to be delivered from the bondage or from the power of the evil spirits and dark forces. Sometimes these forces will come against us even when we are not interceding for others but for our own souls.

If God willing, let us ponder this topic a little more in the coming days.
