Galatians 5:24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Romans 6:6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.

Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

2 Chronicles 33:6 Also he caused his sons to pass through the fire in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom; he practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft and sorcery, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.

The conflicts between the minds are based on one’s standing with God and how they are living.

Spiritual Mind: Once we entered into the salvation of the Lord, then we wear the new man and by that, we receive the spiritual mind. At this time, we crucify flesh and put that to death.  So there is no tiny bit of carnality in this mind through flesh.

Carnal mind: This mind will sprung to war with us only when we are living in a compromised life of faith. This is when we do not allow the flesh to be crucified fully. Israelites, even though they came out of bondage they were still holding the mind of Egypt. Likewise, even though we are saved, if we do not leave the world, then carnality will spring up to fight with us.

Evil mind: This is the mind of the dark forces induced by the enemy. As long as we are in this human body, the adversary mostly injects his mind through another flesh (through someone else willingly or ignorantly) to look like it is carnal or coming from our own flesh. Sometimes he chooses other methods to induce the thoughts (like sorcery, demonic spells etc…). This is his fiery arrow.

Those who follow Christ whole-heartedly will have the spiritual mind Vs evil mind conflict. Those who are in compromised life will have a tough time, because for them it will be spiritual mind Vs carnal mind and evil mind.  In this compromised conflict, we may not know who the real enemy is; is it our own flesh or it is the adversary. That is why we should not be in a warm condition. Either we can be hot or cold, which is much better than warm.
