Ps 145: 4-7 One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts. I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works. Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, And I will declare Your greatness. 7 They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, And shall sing of Your righteousness.
David proclaimed God’s leading in His life throughout in his psalms. Paul and Barnabas proclaimed how God led them in their ministry with the church in Antioch. Peter proclaimed how God led him to go to the house of the gentile Cornelius among the Jews. Why they proclaimed God’s leading to fellow brothers and sisters? It is to proclaim God’s greatness and to praise His awesome power among the difficult situation and unimaginable circumstances. Acts is full of God’s leading through Holy Spirit in the life of Apostles. Why it is written and we have it as word of God? It is for us to learn from it. It is to increase our faith through the word of God; it is for the church to be edified by God’s active and awesome leading in fellow believer’s life. If we keep this as our secret, then devil has his hand on this. When someone sees your life and inquire about it what will be your reply. Will it be just the grace of the Lord and finish it? or will you explain how He led you through in different scenarios and that is what they see now? Which will bring more glory to the Lord?
Many in our days are suppressed by too much reasoning of the world’s knowledge and world’s humility. True humility always exalts our Lord’s greatness so that He will be glorified through our words and deeds.
Oh How foolish we would be, if we are not revealing His ways to our fellow brothers and sisters. It is as if we are not giving glory to the Lord or we do not have faith in His leading. If we are assured in His leading, we will always proclaim His greatness. If we are not boldly confessing that our Lord leads us, then either we are uncertain in all our ways or the devil trumps us saying that we are spiritually proud. If we, as a children of God, does not proclaim His leading, then who will do it? How does a man or woman who is outside, will know the greatness of our LORD? How can we stand among their idols? Let us proclaim His greatness that He showed in our life to others in such a way not to get praise from men or to spiritually look down on others, but to encourage them in faith and exalt the name of the Lord.
