So if He leads us, why sometimes there is so much confusion in our life?

James 3: 13-16 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.

It is because we are tuned to rely on the worldly intelligence immediately when there is a requirement of wisdom from God. If you are a person who does not believe in the way that is opened only through Jesus Christ, then you are good with the worldly intelligence, because you do not have any other source except your own ‘Self’. But, for those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the ONLY Savior, then the source of their intelligence is from Him. The former does not have any part in the God’s leading because they reject the gospel, and the later has full authority to receive God’s leading in Jesus Christ. If we as believers tap into the worldly wisdom, then it will bring confusion in our life, because we try to please God with a worldly leading. To avoid confusion in our life, it is better to get the leading from the Holy Spirit first and then execute the tasks. This brings discipline in our life and it gives us the confidence in the decision that we took. We will stand on that decision because we know it is from God even if it brings tribulation.
