Why I am still confused when I know the leading of the Lord?

James 3: 13-16 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.

This confusion is the confusion or spiritual conflict in our mind to execute the task but not the confusion that arises from after executing the task. After executing God’s leading there will not be any confusion by that task, though we may have tribulations and testing comes out of it. This spiritual conflict heavily depends on our lifestyle, desire and social involvement. The leading from the Lord could be against our desire or it could make us look silly before our friends, or it could change our lifestyle. When these attributes comes to our mind whether to execute it or not to execute it, then we will always be in a confused state and there is a danger with it. Prolonged confusion will make us to error and do things, which is not in the will of God.

Sometimes it may be just a plain trick of the devil in our mind to induce confused thoughts in the way of imagination or assumption. This needs to be immediately identified and rebuked in the name of Jesus Christ. The adversary will flee away. How do we identify whether it is other worldly attributes or the devil that causes this confusion?  This is where the previous two methods instruction and teaching of the Holy Spirit come to our rescue. God the Holy Spirit will remind or teach us at that time of conflict through scriptures on how to deal with the social conflicts. If it is induced by the devil, He will give us instruction in a way of conviction that our imagination or assumption is wrong and to get away from it.  Let us be strengthened in our faith by having a strong fellowship with the Holy Spirit, so that we will not yield to the confusion but, to execute what God wants us to do.
