PS 61:2 When my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

When calamity strikes, when the nations mourn, when confusion and distress surrounds our dwelling place, where can we go for peace, counsel and direction? How can we escape this?

Oh if there is a one place where I can hide myself so that there is nobody who will see me and oppress me, it would be a good thing for me. If this is our cry, Let us ask God to lead us to the rock that is higher than where we are. When the flood of the enemy surrounds us, when the waters rise in our gates increasing little by little and there is only little time left for our rescue. There is nowhere to run or to escape unless somebody lifts us up and place us in the highest shelter above all the waters. God is speaking to you and me today in our hearts to reach out to the God most High. He makes our feet as the feet of the deer and places us in the highest resting place. In that dwelling, there is no fear of evil, no damage to our souls. Our soul will be nourished from the food of Bashan, which is the best. How lovely it would be to receive this rescue. This rescue, which is the leading of our God, is our privilege and our inheritance in the Lord God Almighty through Jesus Christ His Son. Amen.
