Mat 5:14-16

14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

We are the public spectacle of God’s witness to this world. He made us public spectacle in order to testify that He redeemed the mankind who are in flesh, in bondage of sin and fearful of death by His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. Jesus came in the likeness of the sinful flesh to condemn the sin in the flesh in order for us to receive the Spirit of adoption by which we call upon our God ‘Abba Father’. The testimony that we carry is that Jesus is the Savior for the world and He is the coming Christ. The Spirit of God also stands by our side and witnessing this wonderful testimony. The testimony that we proclaim is the will of God in our life, which reflects the will of God in heaven. This life is the precursor to the life in heaven. If we fail to live this life to carry the will of God, then we will not be found eligible to participate in the will of God in heaven. We are the salt and the light of the world. The shining light testifies that there is redemption and hope to the fallen men and women who are perishing in their hopelessness and sin. By this hope, we as light of the world reflect God’s will, which is executed in heaven into this world through the Light that is bestowed on us.
