Rev 3:20-21- Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

He is calling us to have fellowship with Him. If we hear His voice and do according to what He says, then we will be an overcomer just as He is.  If we are not yielding Him into our lives, then we cannot be overcomers and we will lose our reward. Let us repent from our sins, let us shed our laziness, and let us shed our fat from our heart, which hinders to hear the longing voice of the Holy Spirit. We are tiring ourselves with various deeds, maybe even good deeds, not allowing Holy Spirit to have fellowship with us. Because of this, we may not know the will of God in our life in the kingdom of God. If we don’t allow Him to speak, where is the hearing? If we don’t hear, where is the faith? If we don’t have faith, where is the kingdom of God in our life? If we don’t know where we are in the kingdom of God, how can we preach about it?

His longingness is that we hear Him:

  • Hear Him, explaining the scriptures and opening our eyes.
  • Hear Him, to have hope in the promise of everlasting life and to have an overcoming life.
  • Hear Him, to enable us to see the need of the hour.
  • Have fellowship with Him in prayer to receive His strength to accomplish the need of the hour.
