John 10:26-28  But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

Isa 42:20 (NLT) “…You see and recognize what is right but refuse to act on it. You hear with your ears, but you don’t really listen.”

The sheep in God’s fold will follow the True Shepherd, because they knew His voice. If we do not hear the Lord, then we are not following Him. Without hearing His voice, it is impossible to follow Him into the paths that He leads us. If you proclaim yourself as a follower of Jesus Christ, then you hear His voice and know His voice.  When you are lost in the wilderness, the voice of the True Shepherd was heard through the word of God that is preached unto you. God the Holy Spirit the Helper, who enables you to hear His voice, help you in hearing the Shepherd’s voice and run to Him for safety. Once you are in His fold, then you follow Him, wherever He leads you by hearing His voice daily. Nowadays, many believe the True Shepherd but not willing to follow wherever He leads them. That is why the voice of God is a distant echo in their ears. The fat, lost or left behind sheep is always a great attraction for the wild beast or wolves to devour and deceive them. Even though through our disobedience and unwillingness we are fat, left behind, or lost, still our True compassionate Shepherd come back in search of us. Would you listen to this Great Shepherd? Would you follow Him wherever He leads you to? The choice is yours.
