Prov 5: 21-23 For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, And He ponders all his paths. 22 His own iniquities entrap the wicked man, And he is caught in the cords of his sin. 23 He shall die for lack of instruction, And in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.

When you hear the understanding from the voice of God, and based on that understanding, if you obey and speak, then you will be preserved in the Lord from all your enemies. If you ignore the instruction of the Lord and execute things according to your own understanding, then you will be in danger of losing your life. An immoral women or man is only a step away from you. An enemy who seeks evil upon you is only a thought away from your mind. An oppressor who is enraging to oppress you is only a hand away from you. When all these things surround you, who is there to preserve your heart, soul and mind? In I Chron 18:13, it is written that the LORD preserved David wherever he went. The LORD not only protected him, but also protected him to preserve him. Meaning, the LORD retained his strength, valor, mental ability and all that is for him to be the same as it was before the attack of the enemy.  That is Lord’s preservation. How King David found this preservation of the Lord? Ps 32:8, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.” He heard the Lord’s instruction and teaching to gain understanding. By understanding the wisdom of God and walked according to it, he claimed in Ps 32: 7, “You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. “

Whom the LORD can preserve? Those who want to abide in the Lord

How can one abide in the Lord Almighty? Those who follow the Good Shepherd wherever He leads them

Who can follow? Those who hear the voice of the Good Shepherd, which is full of instruction, guidance and teaching

How can one hear His voice? Those who received the ‘Holy Spirit’ (‘Anointing’, or ‘Truth’) (I John 2:26-28)

How can one receive the Holy Spirit? Acts 2:38, 39 “Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.””
