Ecc 6:9 Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of desire. This also is vanity and grasping for the wind.

Gen 6:5 (KJV) And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

2 Cor 10:5 (KJV) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

One of the devil’s snares among many of us today is the imagination or wandering of desire. There is no limit for one’s imagination. These imaginations destroy many aspects of spiritual things, but mainly Satan attacks the child of God with it on the lines of sexual sins.  Most of the temptations come because of imagination which fuels the desire of the heart. When this desire of one’s heart burns high and his/her heart is not satisfied with what they have, immorality, adultery and other sexual sins creeps in their life. When they fell into this bondage, there is a very serious damage in the relationship with God and with others. This destroys many marriages, the lusts that comes out of imagination destroys many young men and women.  We need the power of God to deliver from this bondage and sustain us with contentment even in satisfying our natural things that arise from our body.  When the power of the Holy Spirit gives us contentment, He also gives us self control to deny ourselves through contentment.  Self control and contentment are both intricately woven together and this bond is strengthened by the power of God to resist any temptation of our hearts imagination to damage our spiritual stronghold. Submit all your imagination in the feet of Jesus Christ. He will give you the power to overcome the temptation that arises from it.
