Ex 10:24-26 Then Pharaoh called to Moses and said, “Go, serve the Lord; only let your flocks and your herds be kept back. Let your little ones also go with you.”25 But Moses said, “You must also give us sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God. 26 Our livestock also shall go with us; not a hoof shall be left behind. For we must take some of them to serve the Lord our God, and even we do not know with what we must serve the Lord until we arrive there.”

Many children of God settle themselves for less when God promised them more. Two things will come up from this: one, the children of God did not believe that the Lord can do so much, on the other hand they do not wait for the time of God and take whatever they got right now and move on. When God promised the children of Israel a divine redemption from the bondage of Egypt, He promised freedom for all including their children, family and their wealth. Nothing will be leftover in Egypt. When Pharaoh asked Moses and Aaron to leave Egypt and only the men should go, they did not agree to it. Two more plagues and the Pharaoh came down and said you and your children can go but leave the livestock and your wealth that you acquired in this land, they did not agree to it. Moses said, “Our livestock also shall go with us; not a hoof shall be left behind.” Do we have this kind of faith in our Lord? Do we wait till God finishes all He has to do in a particular situation or do we grab whatever we got and flee away with less blessing.  There is always greater things awaits to a man/woman who waits for His promise to be fulfilled completely. We should not celebrate the victory when the war is only half way done. We need to press on with our agenda till God accomplishes it fully in His time.
