Rom 14:17 “…for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

Last week we meditated on eternal and temporal blessings. When the blessings are eternal or yielding its fruit to eternal, we may not know what type of blessing we received. One of the indicators in this world for us as His children is Joy. We can know what type of blessings we received in this world by how much we rejoice in it and be joyful with it. The joy that you had on day 1 should be the same as the joy you have on day x. For example, if you buy a new music system you will enjoy the music, meaning you will experience joy which is coming from the new music system. The question here is whether the same enjoyment remains with you after few years of time? After sometime if you lose the joy, you will lose interest with it and tend to look for something better than that. That is why Joy is a crucial indicator of any blessings that you received or expecting to receive in the earthly life.
