Scripture Passage: Mark 7:24-30

In the scripture passage above, we see the conversation between a Syro-Phoenician woman and our Lord. Two things we can learn from this incident; one is persistence in faith and the second one is humility. Both are fascinating and important combination to approach God with our supplications. This woman for her daughter, who is tormented with an unclean spirit, came to the Lord and kept on asking the Lord to help her daughter. Her faith in the Lord and her persistence could be seen here. Likewise if any of our children are suffering, then we need to trust in the Lord in faith with some persistence. Many times as a parent for a suffering child, if we pray in faith and persistently ask for His mercy, then that child will be delivered from that suffering.
