Scripture Passage: Mark 7:24-30
Why words are so important? If we see here the Syro-Phoenician woman did not compare her daughter with the Jewish children. This is where her humility in her words displayed. Her daughter’s importance, she took it down under the table to the floor. “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs under the table eat from the children’s crumbs.” This teaches us that when we are placing the supplication for our children, we should not compare or place our children with the other’s child and their blessing. We ask what we need for our child and not comparing with other children. Verse 29, Then He said to her, “For this saying go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter.” Notice here the work of God because of the words of Supplication of that mother. God will deliver your daughter likewise when you approach God persistently and with humility. Your prayer before God is the powerful weapon to destroy the works of the devil. Do not be discouraged or tired submit yourself completely into the Lord’s feet. Life will come from His mouth. Demons will flee by His word of authority. Crooked will become straight. God’s blessing for your children will flow from His throne of Grace. All glory to our God the Father through our Lord Jesus Christ, Who works in our midst today by His Holy Spirit. Amen.
