Ephe 2:1-10

1. And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,  2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,

In Ezekiel 16th chapter we can see the love of God towards Jerusalem.  When she was born, no one took care of her and she was left to die. But God out of His sovereign grace spoke life to her in her blood. His word gave life to her who was dying. He gave her a new life and made her to thrive like a new plant. When the time came, He washed her thoroughly and anointed her head with oil and entered into a new covenant with her. Even though she was born in sin and trespasses from her mother’s womb, He redeemed her and gave His gift to her. He made her to LIVE. His words became life in her blood and the covenant He made with her became a relationship. This is the same thing that God did to us in the new covenant. When we are born in sin and trespasses, He redeemed us by His only Son’s blood and justified us through His Life. When we believe and enter into this new covenant, we are born again in Christ Jesus for God the Father. These are all done in our spirit through His Holy Spirit. When we are born again, HE MADE US ALIVE. He gave the eternal life through His Justification and gave a new heart to become a vessel full of life in the Holy Spirit. When He has made us alive, why we should be under the sway of death? Why we should be under the reign of sin? The point here is that after born again, we were made alive with the life of God and death has no more power over us. By the hope of this grace, the fear of death gone and a new life was breathed unto us through Jesus Christ. Have you made alive in Jesus Christ by God? If not, it is time.
