Rom 5: 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

I John 3:10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.

Since we are born of God, He made us righteous. He calls us righteous man and woman because we believe in His Son Jesus Christ and cleaned by His blood and made alive in Him. When He made us righteous who can nullify that? Imagine a gold vessel polished and cleaned.  If that vessel falls in a mud and get dirtied, it can be easily cleaned.  Its former glory is always retained. Likewise when we are made righteous in Christ Jesus, even if we are dirtied by this world we could be cleansed by the blood of Jesus. That assurance is always there for us. Because of this assurance, we should not be like a swine going back to the mud again and again. This nature, God removed it and gave us a new nature in our new birth. The new nature of righteousness is not be defeated by temptations and thereby defiled, but to have dominion over sin and death.  The power of the Holy Spirit will help us to have this nature in our life so that we could avoid foolishness and sin and associate ourselves with life, righteousness and mercy.  How can we be perfect in righteousness? It is by practicing only. If we simply talk about it, we cannot sustain in the life of righteousness in which we were made, but by practicing every day, we can perfect it in Christ Jesus.
