Ecc 8:12-13 Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him.  13 But it will not be well with the wicked; nor will he prolong his days, which are as a shadow, because he does not fear before God.

King Solomon says that it will be well for those who fear God and for the wicked it will not be well because they do not fear God. If we fear God and do what we suppose to do while living, then there is no fear of death. How? Those who fear God will believe in the Son of God, hope that is offered through Him and take refuge in the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who die in the Lord Jesus Christ will only sleep and will rise again when He returns to reign with Him (I Thes 4:16). How can we link the fear of God with believing in Jesus Christ? What is the connection between death and the eternal life? This is where the discerning of times and judgment comes in to picture. Contd…
