Mark 3: 20-21 Then the multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. 21 But when His own people heard about this, they went out to lay hold of Him, for they said, “He is out of His mind.”

Many times we think that the sound mind is regarding to how we do the things of the earth. But if we think that way, then one time our Lord was also mocked by those who knew Him as “He is out of His mind.” For those who lived when Jesus lived on the earth as a Son of Man, all His activities might be little bit of strange. Why it looked strange is because of tradition and unbelief. These two did not enabled them to see what our Lord trying to do in their midst. Likewise, the sound mind is not about the earthly things or its associated tasks, but the clarity of God’s voice in our heart. Our Lord was in perfect communication with the Father always and knows what He wants Him to do. This is what Apostle Paul reflects as a ‘Sound Mind’.  The biggest enemy of the sound mind according to Apostle Paul is the spirit of fear. Spirit of fear muddy the clarity in knowing the will of God and it is nourished by unbelief. Let us strive to overcome the spirit of fear by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Thought of the Day: When we remove the unbelief then we can see the Spirit of Power, we can see the Spirit of Love manifesting in our life through the soundness of our mind.

2 Tim 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
