Scripture Reading: Mark 6:31-44

Verse 34 – And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things.

Verse 38 – But He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.”

When you see others who are in need of something both spiritual and physical, what do you do? To help other the first hurdle in many of us is to SEE the need of the people those who are around us. Even if we see, we only sympathize with them and not having the godly compassion in our souls for them. If we are moved by the compassion of Jesus Christ, then we look for Him to give us the thing that is in need for that hour. When we can see in compassion? Our Lord saw a great multitude of the people and understood the need that they do not have any shepherd to lead them and they are just wandering souls in the wilderness. When He saw that, then His heart is moved with compassion. This is how we should see. We should see the world through the eyes of the Lord, which is through the Holy Spirit leading.

After seeing the need of the people who listened to Jesus, the disciple asked the Lord that they do not have enough bread to feed them. Our Lord said ‘What do you have? Go and See.’ Likewise after understanding the need, we have to go and see in prayer what we have and bring it to Jesus. Whatever we have whether it is big or small let us bring to His presence. Whether we are weak or strong to the task, we bring ourselves to His presence. When we bring it to His presence, then God uses it for His glory though our Lord Jesus Christ. Ultimately, the power of the Holy Spirit will enable us to see, intercede and receive the things that are in need for that very hour to satisfy others spiritual and physical needs.

Thought of the Day: When you give what you have to Lord Jesus Christ, then He multiplies it with His grace according to the need of the hour.
