Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.

Heb 12:1, 2 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

When we talk about the evidence from the radar signal for the Malaysian officials on the missing plane, it was not strong evidence. It was very weak and they could not confirm it, when the flight went missing at the beginning. When we say Jesus our Lord is our Evidence, He was not weak among men when He lived in this world. He walked in the Power of the Holy Spirit. He cast out the evil spirits with His word. He made the lame walk and finally He accomplished the will of God on the cross and rose again and ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of God. Jesus Christ, our Evidence was strongly present throughout the whole scriptures from the beginning. And this was confirmed by the saints of God who lived a life of faith. That confirmation is summarized in Hebrews 11. Finally this epistle says in 12:1, 2 that we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses that confirms this Evidence. By confirming this Evidence by many witnesses, in Verse 2 the scripture says, ‘Looking unto Jesus’, this confirms Who is that Evidence. Malaysian officials looked at the radar signal for their needs; Israelites looked at the Bronze Serpent to be delivered from the vicious serpents bite; but we as Christians as one body should look unto JESUS as our Lord and our Evidence and proceed in faith.

Thought of the Day: Are you looking unto this Holy Mountain for the Living Water? Like Mosses who looked at the mountain and spoke a word and the water came rushing out. If we look at our Lord and speak the words in faith, the rivers of living waters will flow from us.
