Scripture Passage: 1 Kings 17:8-15

15.So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days.

This could be seen throughout the scriptures. Noah’s obedience saved his family. Abraham’s obedience blessed his whole family. Rehab’s act of kindness saved her whole household from the destruction of Jericho. The obedience of the widow of Zarephath to the voice of the man of God saved her household from the famine. Likewise, when we are in the body of Christ, we are filled by His goodness.  When this goodness is filled in us, it overflows and passed to our household. If the household believed in the miracle that you received from the Lord and willing to stay under that miracle, they will enjoy the goodness from our Lord. The obedience for the gospel is not only for your soul but it benefits your household and sometimes it may direct them to the Lord by the taste of the goodness that is flowing from you.

Thought of the Day: Are we a blessing for our household? Obey to the Lord and He will bless you and your household in the time of trials and needs.
