God did not choose you to fail

Mark 14:66-72

A second time the rooster crowed. Then Peter called to mind the word that Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.” And when he thought about it, he wept.

A moment of weakness.

A moment of anger.

A moment of loss of witness.

This happens to many believers including myself. After all the anger, altercations and exhibition of character that is opposite of Christ, a brief moment of silence comes to our heart. At this time, we ask ourselves, why I did this. I am a failure unto God. God is trying to mold me into Christ like image but I am failing in everything. Am I going to fail completely? This is what went through in my heart when I was struggling to display Christ like character. Then God spoke to me at one instance and said I do not choose anybody to fail. When I foreknew you before the creation of the world in Christ Jesus and when I formed you in the womb for my purpose how will I allow you to be a failure? He explained further when I did not grasp the intensity of His word. He said, I do not allow trials in a believers life in order to fail rather I allow these trials to grow like Jesus Christ. Even though we failed many times God prays in the Holy Spirit that our faith should not be gone. This is what He prayed for Peter when Satan asks to swift Peter.

When there is a moment of failure, then there comes the moment of spiritual weakness. We are frustrated and angry with ourselves; because of our situation, unbelief thought arises in our hearts; all kinds of ungodliness come at that moment and oppress us. In this moment of weakness, the devil fights hard with us to leave our purity, our faith and make us to concentrate towards entertainment and worldly enjoyment to forget what has happened. But at those moments, we really need to cling on to God and His unfailing love. His love is bigger and deeper than our failures. Love covers over a multitude of sins. – 1 Peter 4:8 when this thought comes in to our heart, then we will immediately regain our own spiritual strength. God did not choose us to fail nor does He test us that we should fail. But in the midst of our failures, He shines Jesus Christ’s love to remove the darkness and make us again to shine. So strengthen yourselves who you are failed. Get your acts together unto God, the Sun of Righteousness will shine in your darkness and His love endures forever for you and me and for all. Hallelujah Amen.

Christmas, Golden Calf, Waiting on the Lord

Exodus 32:1-10

Then they said, “This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!”

5 So when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it. And Aaron made a proclamation and said, “Tomorrow is a feast to the Lord.” 6 Then they rose early on the next day, offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

Why Israelite’s made a ‘god of flesh’ (golden calf) in the wilderness?

  1. A false sense of supernatural power to comfort them to lead them and to deliver them from the enemy.

Since they witnessed the power of God, they wanted the same manifestation through this new god of flesh because Moses was delayed and no reply from God to anyone in the camp. The silence and boredom of not doing anything in the wilderness was not tolerable to many people so they went with a new god. Always waiting on the Lord is very difficult and we tend to take whatever is in our disposal like how they gave their gold and ornaments to form an idol and try to resolve or mitigate the issue. When we do this, then a god of flesh is formed in our midst without our knowledge. Once it is formed, then we want supernatural intervention from GOD through this new god of flesh to our problem or for our direction. Because of this idolatry, our spiritual life is going towards death and not towards faith and life. So let us be patient for God’s timings and receive the blessing through Him only even though the wait is painful, lonely and uneventful.

  1. They wanted a reason to celebrate.

If you notice a modern day kid, he would like to do something new every day to keep him occupied. He was bored with what he had played with yesterday. Likewise the Israelite’s were bored in the wilderness. They are stagnant in one place, no city nothing out there for entertainment, no leadership and no path forward. So in order to break free from this stagnation they wanted a god to lead them and to celebrate and make themselves entertained. Did we create baby Jesus as ‘god of flesh’ because we wanted to celebrate like other religions or we celebrate the birth of Christ because of who He is and why He came to earth? Our celebration will reveal our motive and we will be the judge of our celebration.
Lets celebrate with pure and undefiled motive removing any gods of flesh in our midst and look for our Lord Jesus Christ’s second coming.

Unbelief

2 Kings 18:35-36

35 Who among all the gods of the lands have delivered their countries from my hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem from my hand?’”

36 But the people held their peace and answered him not a word; for the king’s commandment was, “Do not answer him.”

Even though we know that nothing is impossible with God, why we don’t receive the answer to our request?

We have faith that our Savior can move mountains but still we are not able to go past a small rock in our path? Why?

Do we lack faith or is it unbelief or it is not God’s will?

For some of you everything will be abundant but only one request is still pending like in the life of father Abraham. For some, there will be nothing going good in your life and you are hanging by a thread between life and death. For you, all your requests are pending. In these scenarios what would you think of your belief in God?

One day because of my pain, I prayed a prayer to God for deliverance in my life. As soon as I submitted my request there was a reasoning thought and when I heed the thought it naturally skid me into a mental conversation within me. When I stopped the conversion and look at what I was speaking in my thought I was actually thinking how I would respond if the deliverance do not occur and what should be my action to it. Now suddenly out of nowhere God spoke to me and He pointed out what I am doing. He said even though you think that I can move mountains and you have belief in Me and prayed a prayer of rescue, your thoughts did not agree with your belief and faith.

Then my reasoning went like this perhaps Satan is putting the thoughts in me and it is not mine own thoughts.  Surely it could be Satan to begin the seed but I know, I am the one who watered with my unbelief and the result was a glorious tree with leaves and branches but do not have the fruit of faith. So now what would God do to my prayer? Think about it.

We pray the prayer of faith and we nullify the same prayer by our unbelief through our thoughts or actions or spoken words. So how can we expect anything from God?

There are two ways that we can be unbelief in our thoughts.

  1. Thoughts that we engage in our own self (Because of fear, expectation, desperate situation etc…)
  2. Thoughts that arose because of our surroundings (Unbelief words of our friends or family, unexpected event that happened etc…)

Hezekiah commanded the people not to have conversation with Rabshakeh when he was foaming with deceit, lies and unbelief towards the God of Israel. Likewise we should not engage in a conversation with unbelief, lustful and evil thoughts. This will lead us into more problems mentally and sometimes physically. This is the way that devil attacks us with the thought of unbelief and we have to defend it by faith. We should not expand our inner conversation if it leads to unbelief, we have to rebuke the thought in the Name of Jesus and have victory over unbelief. This is a secret plague that affects our spiritual life and God will give us victory through the name of Jesus and Holy Spirit will teach us when it is time to rebuke our own thoughts of unbelief.

It was amazing to see how fast the devil plants the tare of unbelief through our surroundings immediately after the prayer of faith. One of the parable points out that Satan came on the same night and sowed the tare. Both will grow together but if we yield to the pressures of tare then we will be destroyed. But if we resist the tare then we will have a plentiful fruit. So don’t let the surroundings of unbelief affect our faith. Peter as soon as he removed his eyes from the Lord and looked at the waves he sank, but if we look only to Jesus, our faith would be strong. He is the ONE who can make everything from nothing. Halleluiah! Amen.

Sorrow that pierces the heart – Overcoming depressive emotions

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33

I was hurt in my heart and I was about to cry within myself. Then a voice echoed in me saying:

Why you are joyful when your flesh is happy and when your flesh is hurt why are you sorrowful? Meaning why I am crying because I am hurt and my flesh seeks something and it did not find it.

Normally I am noticing this pattern in my life. When I am joyful in my flesh (Body mind and soul) my heart is in joyful condition and when I am hurt in my flesh my heart is sorrowful. The fleshy desires like relationship, things that ought to happen in a natural realm and it is not happening, doubt, fear etc… When these things hit our heart, then we are going into sorrow and depression. Sometimes it is normal and sometimes it takes us to extreme.

Paul says our hearts ache, but we always have joy – 2 Cor 6:10. How can this be possible? It is possible if we live by the Holy Spirit and not by our flesh. I believe God is trying to tell me that I need to be joyful based on the Holy Spirit Who lives in me. If He is sorrowful because of something, then we need to have that godly sorrow, but when He is joyful then we need to be joyful. Then I realized the meaning of the word Joy in the Holy Spirit (Rom 14:17). Will we know what God feels? Yes, we can feel His anger, joy, peace and anguish. Paul and Silas sang and praised God even when they are physically suffering because of their walk with the Holy Spirit.

During tough times it is a struggle to overcome our emotions, pain and thoughts of unbelief. It is a battle between our flesh and our spirit and moreover Satan’s messengers will be there to pour oil into the fire to make things worse. In these battles, our only option is to stand in faith believing that our Lord Jesus is He who sanctifies us, heals us and justifies us. If we have promises from the Lord before this battle, then hold on to it. Our situation may or may not change at that time and it is up to God’s timing and purpose but we need to be rooted in faith as we understand His heart and overcome our emotions. This is where we need to grow in maturity and it does not come in one day. I pray that we all grow into that kind of walk in the Holy Spirit, even though emotions of our flesh take us as a storm initially, we can still overcome it by the Peace that comes through Holy Spirit. May God sustain our hearts in these tough times through the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

I Peter 5:7-11

10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

When you were little in your own eyes did you not humble before Me?

1 Sam 15:16-19

16 Then Samuel said to Saul, “Be quiet! And I will tell you what the Lord said to me last night.”

And he said to him, “Speak on.”

17 So Samuel said, “When you were little in your own eyes, were you not head of the tribes of Israel? And did not the Lord anoint you king over Israel?

After 3 years, one day I was able to feel the Heart of GOD. I write this with burden towards the ministers who let pride, disobedience like King Saul to God and failure to show Christ’s love to fellow brothers and sisters in their ministry even though if their ministry is unknown to many.

Why is your heart so prideful? The Almighty God is asking you. I gave you the anointing of the Holy Spirit; I gave you the life of goodness; I gave you your heart’s desire. So why then you did not humble before Me? A seed grows and becomes a tree yielding fruits. Why then you grew as a tree from My River of life and yielding bad fruits? I see your magnificence in utter shame and disgust. Is this why I chose you? Is this why I groomed you?

Right now the axe is kept near the tree; those that are not yielding good fruits will be cut down and thrown into the fire. I do not want your ministry or your songs. Take it with you to the fiery furnace where you can use it to build nothing.  I see My Son is pleading for you. Repent and yield good fruits otherwise next season I will cut you down.

Understanding and reflecting the power of Grace in a believer’s life

Luke 7:36-48

Grace is not something to identify a sinner and to acknowledge him but it is the power to save the sinner from the power of sin to the freedom. This is the power of God. Jesus said to whom much was forgiven will love Him more. Those who understood the power of Grace according to their sins will also know the freedom that comes within. People will not have narrow mind or passing judgments like Pharisee Simon in Luke 7 if they understood the power of Grace. So if you think you are forgiven a little then you need to ask God to open your understanding of Grace so that you will not judge people so lightly but with righteous judgment. When Jesus said judge with righteous judgment, He was reflecting based on the power of Grace to judge. So let me ask you who has known the full power of the Grace of God?

His name is Holy Spirit. And He is the Spirit of Grace.

He is the only one to convict and to judge in this world now. He was the sent One from God the Father to be with us so that we will not be orphaned. Unless a man understand that he is in the power of sin and wants to be free from it, he cannot receive or understand the power of Grace. This thirst of freedom will lead a man to look for redemption from this power of sin. Many take various steps to get freedom from this power. When a man is oppressed by two different forces within him he faces an internal conflict on his own. When this conflicts push him to the core he either burst out or goes into depression. What is this internal conflict? It is the knowledge of God that He had put in the hearts of men vs. the power of sin. More the conflict more the guilt!

So when he is not taking it anymore that is when he seeks help through various means. Suicide, drinking, drugs etc… When he try to cover up or soothe the conflict with entertainment, sin and drugs, either he lose the soul or he goes more into the lion’s mouth that is the power of sin. Somehow when he learns about Jesus and believes in Him and His redemption, then the conviction of the Holy Spirit and repentance comes in. When repentance on its way the power of Grace sweeps that person and delivers him from the power of sin. (Repentance dying with Christ and resurrection is rising with Him in new life). So a new inner man is born. Spirit gives birth to spirit. At this stage he understands the power Grace based on the power of his past sinful life according to his understanding. The magnitude of the debts that was pardoned is only known to him. So he equates that to the power of Grace in his life.

The problem comes when he grows in the Christian life and he uses that magnitude to judge others both believers and non believers. He limits the forgiveness based on this magnitude of grace that he has experienced. That is why we see lots of people are gossiping judging and unforgiving in their life. The degree of these entities varies by individual.

The love of Christ is the power of Grace. We need to ask God to give this understanding to know how deep, how wide, how high and how big this love of Christ is. This is what Paul prays in Eph 3. When we realize this love of Christ and grow in it, then we will receive the fullness. At this point of fullness, God may put us in a position to judge with righteous judgment in the church. No one can know the love of Christ fully, but we can keep on knowing, growing and discern according to our understanding of the power of Grace. By the grace of Lord Jesus Christ, let us love one another unconditionally and grow in His grace. Amen.

False separation

15 Thursday Dec 2016

“…do not come near me I am holier than you” Isaiah 65:5

Many today are talking about remnant. Many are talking about holiness. These are all important no doubt about it. But the adversary devil is rising up a group of people in Christianity that too those who are calling themselves as anointed to call up for a false separation using the verse Mat 10:34-36.  This group of people calling for separated life between husband and wife, between ignorant, weak Christians and themselves etc…They also label them as unholy and disobedient believers without proof or any credible witness and solely by ‘Revelation’.

What Mat 10:34-36 teaches us is about the distinction that our Lord brings within the family where father is a believer and son is an unbeliever or the other way round. So in the same family some will be believers and some will be unbelievers. So this is a distinction between light and darkness. God asks us to be a light in the midst of darkness and not to be separated from them. Even though the faith is different between the family members the underlying family relationship is not gone unless the unbeliever decides to walk away from the family or when an unbelieving family member kicks the believer out of the family or the unbelieving family member(s) is forcing the believer to do something against Christ. This is what Jesus our Lord talks in the later part of that verse saying if you love anyone more than me then you are not my disciple. Using this verse and calling for a separated life is immature and not knowing the counsel of God regarding separation.

False Separation:

A false separation is the one that fails to show the love of Christ to those who are weak and heavy burdened.

A false separation is the one that creates division and dissension within the body of Christ.

A false separation brings out pride, lack of witness, lack of fruit of the Holy Spirit, disunity and quarrel among the families.

Biblical Separation:

A Biblical separation is not about whom to love and whom not to love. But it’s about what to love and what not to love.

A Biblical separation in how we live separated life from the worldly lust

A Biblical separation is not about separating from a weak or lame or ignorant believer. Rather separating, you who are strong in faith have to correct them and strengthen them in their faith.

Obedience is better than the sacrifice. Keeping you holy or serving God is a sacrifice but this should not precede Obedience. That is why Our Lord Jesus says that even if you prophesy, heal the sick and do a great service for me I will not know you, if you do not obey the will of God.

The will of God is already established regarding authority when it comes to church, family and marriage. The devil always wants the believers to rebel from this authority as he did when he rebelled against God. He gives people some thoughts, saying that the marriage is not happened by the will of God so you can separate or the other person is a worst sinner secretly or someone is unholy or the church elders are frauds and hypocrites. To some women, Satan convince them saying that Jesus is their husband and you can be separated from the earthly husband. This leads to false separation and false doctrines. The devil’s plan is always divide and conquer. That is why our Lord said that if a kingdom is divided, then it will fall (Mat 12:23).

When God appoints authority in fellowship or family or any ministry, then He fulfills His purpose through the authority like elders, husband or prophets. Any knowledge or revelation or voice that comes to you overruling the authority should always be tested thoroughly and mostly it is a deceiving thought or a revelation. If the authority in fellowship or ministry living in open sin and it was seen by other members and he is spreading wrong doctrines, then God could ask you to come out of the fellowship or ministry. But when it comes to family especially marriage, husband and wife should not be separated. Because God also said that what God has joined together, let not man separate (Mat19:6).

One of the supreme works of the Holy Spirit is bringing unity in the Body of Christ through love of Christ. The scripture says if anyone says I love God and hates his brother then he is a liar. The devil is a liar and father of all lies. So be watchful in how you love and treat others. If we do not obey the first commandment of God, then we are not even in the body of Christ. So obedience overrules sacrifice (I Sam 15:22). If you do not practice this then you are rebelling against the will of God. When God in Christ showered us with so much love, why can’t we show at least a fraction of that love to others? When God in Christ came to the lowest level to bring us up through His love, why are we hesitant to love others the way we should and live in unity? Unity among believers will manifest the power of the Holy Spirit and give us more confidence and boldness in Christ like the early church (Acts 4:37).The character of Christ should reflect in our lives and the fruit of the Holy Spirit is more important than the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Please repent and reconcile, God will give peace and stability in your life. Praise the Lord!

A cry that is no more

11 Sunday Dec 2016

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” – Revelation 21:3-4

Here the scripture says no more crying or tears, no more pain and no more sufferings in the kingdom of God. So in a real believer’s earthly life, will there be crying, pain and sufferings? Yes there will be.

That is why the scripture clearly says that when His kingdom come all these will be passed away. Don’t think that your life will be successful when you become a real Christian. Don’t think that every sickness and sufferings will be healed instantly. Don’t think that the power of the Holy Spirit will be manifested instantly according to your expectation of faith. When you pray for others for healing they might be healed like in the book of Acts or Gospel but when you pray for your own or for your family members for healing or deliverance it does not happen. Sometimes it does not happen like in the book of acts or in the Gospel, in your life. Then, what is the meaning of faith? Some people will say that Jesus never failed when He was in the world. Every time something came up it was resolved immediately. So why can we not have the same experience? What is missing in our lives? According to people’s judgment, Jesus was successful till He entered the wilderness of cross. When He willingly accepted the pain and suffering in agony people perceived that He was defeated on the cross. So when people tells you that you have to be always victorious, take it with a grain of suffering because the bible says that He was tempted at all points and yet without sin. It says without sin and It never says without any tears or pain or sufferings.

God manifested His great power in the grave of Jesus. This was a symbol of failure according to the world. So your greatest failure will be the instrument of God’s greatest power. The power that healed the sick, the power that cast out demons, and the power that feed the crowds, the power that opened the blind will not bring salvation to the soul but the power that manifested in the grave brought salvation to the whole world. So do not seek the power that satisfies the flesh or earthly things, but seek the manifestation of the Holy Spirit power to turn a sinner to God through Jesus. Seek the power of Him which brings eternal glory to God. When you seek these things God will satisfy the earthly things. So you will cry, lament, suffer in pain and your heart will be in anguish but still you would stand up and say God is powerful. Why? Because others cannot see what you see. The unspiritual person can not see the things of the Holy Spirit. When the kingdom of our Lord Jesus come, at that time our pain and sufferings will be wiped away. Every tear that we shed is before the feet of God and He will reward us openly in eternity. So be cheerful those who are crying today. So take heart that this pain and suffering is only for a little while and the season of sufferings will change.  A time to weep and a time to laugh. In all these things our God will be glorified. Glory to His name and to our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
