2 Tim 4: 16,17

At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them.17 But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

Are you alone or feeling alone?

Rejection and misunderstanding leads to solitude. This feeling of alone will be overwhelming when nothing good is happening around you. Sleepless nights or painful nights. Awkward parties and fellowship knowing that everyone is just superficial. Many in this world go through this phase. But what it means to a believer in Lord Jesus Christ? We can see many believers go through this feeling of loneliness. Apostle Paul also felt this loneliness we can see it in many verses. But the main thing is that, he confess that when he was deserted by everyone the Lord stood by him. Our Lord said that I will never leave you nor forsake you. This is the antidote for loneliness. But many cannot take this antidote even though they believe in this verse. The emotional loneliness overcomes the faith in the word of God because it looks more of words than experience. When the manifestation of the weakness of the flesh overshadows the joy of your spirit that is when loneliness takes over in the believers life. There are two things that brings us to this realization:

  1. Unbelief in His word

Failure to believe in His word is not because that we don’t believe it is God’s word, but it is because of our reasoning. This varies between person to person based on their intellectual ability. More knowledge means more reasoning and more unbelief. If you can not be a child, you cannot enter in to the kingdom of God. A child believes instantly when his/her father promises something and always reminds or ask the father that you said so. But as we grow up our reasoning defiles our faith and it becomes adulterated faith with the world. Paul said that the Lord stood by me. He had the faith to believe and saw the glory of God standing beside him. That saved him from sorrow of loneliness and also the shadow of the fleshy manifestation is removed by God’s glorious presence.

  1. Failure to realize the purpose of loneliness

When we are alone or feeling alone it makes us vulnerable for satanic attack. Depression creeps in when Satan attacks your family or finance or your fellowship. This will result in intense spiritual battle that is happening within oneself. When we don’t identify this battle, then we fall into heavy depression and slowly slip into mental oppression. This is happening because we do not understand God’s purpose of our loneliness. When the disciples fled Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane he was alone because He needs to drink the cup of suffering alone to fulfill the will of God. When Paul was deserted and felt lonely he has to testify alone in front of the court. So certain things that we as an individual child of God should do alone according to the purpose of God in certain seasons. So when next time you feel lonely or if you are feeling lonely now, then be assured that you have to do some task alone for God in His kingdom. The Lord who promised us that He will never leave us alone nor forsakes us even everybody accuses us or rejects us or deserted us, will see to it that He is faithful to His word. None of His words will fall to the ground. It will work mightily to those who believes and it also works according to His will to those who are not faithful because He is faithful.

Fight loneliness with childlike faith and understand the purpose of God in your loneliness. God will give you grace through Christ Jesus to endure the season of loneliness. Glory be to God alone.  Amen.

Are we riding on someone else vision?

Matthew 15:12-14

Then His disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”

13 But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. 14 Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”

When Balaam rode in his donkey, the animal saw the Angel of the Lord and went in other direction escaping Balaam from death. The Angel of the Lord said “The donkey saw Me and turned aside from Me these three times. If she had not turned aside from Me, surely I would also have killed you by now, and let her live.”

In this incident donkey saved Balaam life. But if the donkey did not see the vision what would have happened? Balaam would be dead. Likewise in today’s world many are living by other believer’s visions and prophecy and counsel. Because of this, if the believer who is having a vision or word do not see or hear the real will of God, the receiver of the vision or word is also going to be dead. This is what Jesus our Lord mentioned as blind leading the blind. Many today enters into ministry by riding on other’s vision to even begin it. If anyone who begins a ministry based on someone else vision is likely to fail in the ministry. It does not mean we should not seek godly counsel, but rather you should not begin with it or if it is different from what you have received, then you should spend more time with the Lord to get clarity. You need to have your own calling and vision from God for your path. That way is set, before you only and not for the donkey. Like how a donkey is used as an instrument when our Lord entered into His sufferings, God will use fellow believers as an instrument in our path.

Since many false prophets and preachers are in Christendom today, it is best to get our own vision to begin the ministry by staying at the feet of the Lord. So do not ride on other’s vision or counsel but rather know your own path. If you are honest with the Lord, then your path will be approved by the saints of the Lord.

You who have born of righteous why are you walking in flesh?

Born Again, born of righteous, Christ, Daily God's Word, God, Holy Spirit, Jesus, Jesus Christ, run with the footmen, walking in flesh

Gal 3:3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?

God in Christ Jesus through the Holy Spirit asking us this question today. You who have born in the Spirit why are you walking in flesh? It is like those who born in a Christian family, lives like pagans. This is what is happening in many believers life. We begin the race well but soon hop on to the lifestyle of the people in the world like how we are born of the flesh again. Born again in the Spirit is nullified by being born to the flesh. Why? Is the born again Spirit filled life is not enough for you? Or was it not entertaining to your itching ears and lustful eyes? What is lacking in your Spirit filled life that you went seeking the life of the world? Something was missing in your Spirit filled life and that is why you went to live the other lifestyle. You painted the flesh with the born again name and still live with the lump of flesh underneath like an under baked bread. Why are you living with two opinions? The lifestyle that we live today is an adulterated lifestyle and thus the quality of our faith. So we see many suffering without any real persecution. The persecution that many churches face today is from flesh. When we are not able to withstand the persecution of the flesh, how can we endure the persecution from Anti-Christ dominions and principalities and powers of darkness? Jer 12:5 “If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, Then how can you contend with horses? And if in the land of peace, In which you trusted, they wearied you, Then how will you do in the floodplain of the Jordan?

As James 1:8 says double minded man is unstable in all his ways. So instead of unstable in your life, just chose one life and live to its fullness. If you want to live the worldly life live to its fullness and don’t say I am a born again Christian. If you want to live the Spirit filled life and then live to see the fullness of Christ in your life. So choose wisely which one you would like to live. Do not live a warm life that is neither hot nor cold.

Very few who began the life in the Spirit will complete the life in Spirit. So ask God to eliminate the world from your lifestyle and bring in godly lifestyle in your life. I am not talking about external lifestyle of godliness but internal life of godliness which is displayed outside as a character of Jesus Christ.

Will you be hiding?

Coming of Lord Jesus, Daily God's Word, Daily word in Tamil, God, Holy Spirit, Jesus, Jesus Christ, Lord

Gen 3:8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

When God came down to visit Adam and Eve in the garden to have fellowship with them, they were both hiding from God because of sin. When sin enters in our life or when sin reigns in our life, we will automatically hide from God because either we do not want it to be exposed or we fear God that He will punish us. Like Adam and Eve, many will be hiding from God when Jesus Christ comes as a King to reign the earth. Those who knew Him will be hiding and those who do not knew Him will also hide from Him because of the glory of God.

Why would one be hiding from God? Because of sin in one’s life. When one persistently live in sin even though they knew Christ, they will be hiding in the darkness when He comes. Those who are cleansed from their sins by the Lamb of God and walk in righteousness continuously, will boldly in confidence be ready to meet Him.

So the question we should ask today, if God in Christ comes today, would you be hiding, or in confidence, rejoice greatly to meet Him?

Jesus our Lord said, behold I stand today at the door and knock; if anyone opens the door and invite Me, I will come in and dine with him. Many today do not open the doors of their heart because of guilt, shame and lust. They want to live the way they lived because they like it and love it. This is how Satan has blinded the understanding of many. They were afraid to open it for various reasons. But on the contrary, Jesus our Lord says, I know your weakness, I know your nakedness and I know your pride so why don’t you open the door, I will come and cleanse you and live with you. You will be Mine and I will be yours like in the garden of Eden.

Would you come out of hiding today? Repent and invite Lord Jesus to stay with you. You will not be ashamed.

I John 2:28

And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.

Allow the seed of promise to grow to its maturity

promise, sower

Romans 4:17-25

…who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.”[19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.”[

We all know that we need to hold on to the promise during the rough times. But many of us do not hold it till the end. Even though we know that we need to stand in faith, why we are not able to stand the trial or waiting period? This is some kind of mystery within us. A mystery of how a seed grows under the soil, likewise the mystery of faith growing through the word of God which is the seed. The result of the promise is not in sowing but in reaping. Meaning the blessing of the promise or fulfilment of the promise is seen only at the time of execution but not at the time of receiving the promise. Many are glad that they received the promise from God. Every year beginning they wait for a new promise. But they forget or they did not see through the previous promises to its fullness. So that is why many who received promise could not inherit the inheritance of the promise. Each promise has its own maturing time. We need to allow the seed of promise to grow to its maturity.

And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it.

Do not allow Satan to destroy your promise. He comes by the wayside and if you are not careful enough, he destroys the promise seed or in a way that he makes you to forget the promise and go away.

Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. 6 But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away.

Do not have evil desires or sin in your heart. This will make your heart shallow and the seed will not grow into maturity. When the power of darkness attacks you, you will not have strong roots to stand and see to its fullness.

And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop.

Do not allow the cares of this worldly life distract you and not allowing to stand in faith to receive the fullness of the promise.

But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.

Let your heart be like a good ground where you can receive the seed of promise, nurture it with the power of the Holy Spirit, stand the test of times and reach the fullness of harvest. It will yield thirty fold, sixty fold and hundred fold. Allow the seed of promise to grow to its maturity. God is the one who gives increase; so wait for its fullness of time to come.

Always choose to humble yourselves

humble

Luke 14:7-11

  1. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

Our Lord says here in this example to humble ourselves in everything we do. Be it a worldly thing or it be of spiritual living. Always we should choose to humble ourselves. We get many opportunities to exalt ourselves. In those scenarios we should choose to humble ourselves. Many today exalt in the spiritual gifts that they received by the grace of God. Some exalt in themselves with their natural talents. Some exalt that they live holy and righteous lives. When they exalt, they automatically degrade their fellow brothers and sisters. Proud words comes out of their mouth like ‘I am much stronger in the Lord than you are’. When Jesus sees your proud speech, He will say that the other person will receive great honor than you in the kingdom of God. In your fellowship or friends or family there will be people of faith with different strength. Or in other words, some may be stronger in faith than you and some may be weaker. When you see a weak person in faith, with gentleness help him to grow beyond your faith and you humble there for that purpose. If you speak with proud words, then you are weaker in faith than the other person. Encourage and build the weak in faith. By doing this you are humbling before God. Fasting with pride leads to destruction of one’s soul. Because you are humbling before satan and raising your feet before God. God will destroy you or reject you. So do not give yourselves to satan to fill your heart with pride. if you are proud, Holy Spirit will leave from you. Spiritual pride leads to death. Physical pride leads to dishonor.

So let us choose to humble ourselves in any situation. This does not mean that we should not rebuke the evil woks that is happening among us and be humble. But we have to humble ourselves in loving others and by carrying burdens of others on our shoulder. Let us not seek to exalt ourselves but let us continually seek to exalt Christ our Redeemer.

A prideful bride is a naked woman with a shameful attitude rejecting the authority of Christ.

Wait till the days of affliction come to an end

Affliction, Job, Suffering, Waiting on the Lord

Job 14:14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

Are you in the midst of suffering and affliction? If yes, then God is telling you to wait till the days of affliction come to an end. It is very difficult to be patient or in a waiting mode when the days of affliction crush us like a thorn. But if we wait patiently for God’s timing, then it will be a blessing to us. In Psalms 40:1 it says that King David waited patiently for the LORD and He inclined to him, and heard his cry. In the time of deep sadness and affliction, if we wait patiently for the Lord and cry unto Him, then He will come to us and give us grace to withstand the days of affliction. God is great and His Name is above all names. Job lost everything that he had and in his deep suffering he says that he would like to wait till his appointed time of affliction is over and he was expecting a change. Job’s affliction is heavy and during his time of trouble he waited for the Lord and it shows his strength of faith. He was strong in faith that his Lord will rescue him. Likewise if we are strengthened in the faith, then we can sustain the suffering and wait for the days of affliction to be over.  During the days of affliction, devil will place landmines throughout our path to deter us from the faith that we have in the Lord. Because of this, we may step into one of the landmines and take some wrong decisions. This is will lead us into spiritual weakness and ultimately lead us to shipwreck in faith.

So dear saints, please wait for the Lord till your days of affliction is over. God in Christ Jesus will strengthen your faith and help you to withstand the pain and wait patiently for His time. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart: wait, I say, on the Lord (Ps 27:14). Amen.

The glory of flesh

Flesh

I Peter 1: 22-25

22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, 23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, 24 because “All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.
The grass withers, And its flower falls away,
25 But the word of the Lord endures forever.

Many in the world today are drawn to the glory of man that comes from the flesh. The natural talents like music, education or any other talents draw most of the attention and awe. Even in Christendom that is more prevalent. If a man or woman who sings well or plays an instrument well, then many will say that God will use you mightily brother or sister. The exhibition of their natural talent draws many souls to be satisfied with what they offer in terms of godly work they do. These are all happening in praise music songs, preaching, talented marketing of institutions and ministries. What God is telling us today is that, even if you draw great crowds through music or songs or preaching or marketing strategies; and even if you take them to some heavenly places through your natural ability, all those efforts are waste and useless. The glory of the flesh will be gone when the flesh fades like a grass of the field. So how would God looks at your natural talent that you used to minister in the churches? What you sow in the flesh will reap the benefits of flesh. And what you sow in the Spirit will reap its benefits in spirit (Gal 6:8). In the end, the fire will determine whether it is hay or precious metals (I Cor 3:11-13).

So does it mean that we should not use our natural talents in the work of God? We can still use our natural talents to God when we are filled in the Holy Spirit and minister in His power. God can use our natural talents like how the Spirit of God came upon the skilled artisan Bezalel to build the tabernacle of God (Ex 31:1-5). The perfect example is how God is using our natural body to be His temple. So God could use our natural talents when it is under His direction and obedience.

God gave us spiritual talents in the form of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in order to equip the saints and build them up (Ep 4:12). But many used the natural talents to fulfill the void that is created in the church by the lack of gifts of the Holy Spirit. Some even pretend to display the same gifts of the Holy Spirit through heavenly forces of darkness. The man or woman who is calling themselves an oracle of God or person who demonstrates external manifestation of supernatural powers attracts so many people to them but in the end the person who performs or proclaim the oracle do not have the character of our Lord Jesus in them and it is mere crowd pleasing and deception. These works of darkness does not build the saints but rather build a pseudo kingdom that resembles to the real kingdom of God and many are satisfied with it.

When Jesus our Lord chose His servants, He chose the weak and untalented according to the natural world. But He also chose Saul the Pharisee who according to the natural world excelled in natural glory of flesh (Phil 3:3-8). When he became Paul, he did not use his natural talent or position to build a church in Jerusalem; nor did he influence the leaders to give permission for the apostles to speak freely about Jesus. But he considered all natural things as rubbish and useless. Because of that sacrifice and realization of the glory of the natural man, today we are enjoying God’s goodness that came through his ministry. So discern, encourage, participate and build the saints according to the glory of God through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

The depth of the Love of God through Christ Jesus

Jesus, Love of God

PS 103: 11-14 For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; 12 As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. 13 As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him. 14 For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.

Do you think that you have gone so deep and God will not love you from where you are?

Do you think that you have done something that is so deep and you do not know whether Christ love can come to that level to lift you up? Then listen,

When Christ came down from the heavens to earth to lift the sinners from their sins and darkness to light, the distance He came down for you and me we don’t know because we don’t know where the heavens exactly is and how far above it is from us. Also He left His divine nature and took the life of an ordinary man and that sacrifice we don’t know. Likewise you do not know how deep HIS LOVE can come down and lift you up. That is HIS awesome love. It can scoop down to the level that you think you are and lift you up. You know, He came searching for you to the depth of hell to lift you up so that you will not spend the eternity in hell. You cannot explain or imagine or hide from His love. When the writing on the wall interpreted against king Belshazzar, TEKEL: You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting. God looked at him and judged that he is lacking or falling short of His expectations. Likewise when we fall short of God’s expectations, we are also before God, like this king. But out of God’s great mercy, His love through Christ come and stands in our side of the balance and that way we are justified before God. If Jesus our Lord did not fill up our shortcomings we would be judged by God the Father the same way as the king above. So always keep this in mind that He shall never leave you nor forsake you, even if you think that you did something wrong and you are in repentance and seeking Him for forgiveness. He never leaves you. Sometimes your thick cloud of issues will cloud your mind and unable to pray or seek Him but your heart is longing for Him. So He knows your heart longings and He is there with you when devil accuses you of your shortcoming. Then God the Father says that you are justified because of My Son Jesus Christ. So don’t get depressed when dark things weighs you down, overcome it by the Love of the Father and the Blood of Jesus Christ. His Love is everlasting. Amen.

In His Time

Ecc 3:11 He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

Many begin a new year with many expectations. Few do not know what to expect and some will be without any expectations. In all these situations, God is telling us that in His time He will make all things beautiful. His times are not according to our timelines. His thoughts are not like our thoughts. But what He promised us, He is more than able to fulfill it in His time. A time of Joy and a time of sadness; a time of relaxation and a time of warfare; a time of love and a time of separation. It is all in our times. But our Lord’s time is everlasting with a blessed hope and rest. So rest in His love and enjoy the warmth of His arm around you. His love is more than what you would expect from this year or any year that you live in this world. His love is everlasting. Our times are encapsulated in His love like a love socket. No one can snatch it from Him or change our times for their benefit. So in this season of beginnings, let us rest in His love. Days may go by and years may pass by quickly. But the love of our Lord Jesus Christ will never fail. Amen.

Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
